Mrs. Lindy Cleveland, the Director of Unless U, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role.  After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Life Education from Samford University, Lindy established Unless U in 2014. Her exceptional work has garnered recognition from various publications, including Woman's World Magazine, Vestavia Hills Magazine, and The Vestavia Voice, among others.

 

Lindy's contributions to education were acknowledged with The Learning for Life Award and The Alumni of the Year Award from Samford University's Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education in 2016. She also received the Humanitarian Award from the Women's Committee of 100 in 2018 and was selected as a TedxBirmingham Speaker in 2016. Lindy's commitment to improving Unless U for her students and the Birmingham community is unwavering.

Lindy is happily married to Mitch Cleveland, a special education teacher in the Vestavia Hills Education school system. Together, they are raising two sons, Grady (4) and Jordan Brooks (1), the latter named after Lindy's brother.
